Haunted World is a 2-player cooperative puzzle platformer built in Unity, where players work together to navigate dangerous levels filled with traps, hidden items, and time-based challenges. This project focused on designing interconnected mechanics, integrating custom tile-based systems, and balancing challenge and reward through clever level design and a dynamic ranking system.



Core Systems & Architecture
Designed and implemented two-player cooperative mechanics, emphasizing teamwork and puzzle-solving
Integrated Unity’s tile system to construct modular, flexible level layouts
Created and scripted various environmental hazards, including crushers, swinging axes, spikes, and arrow traps


Level Design & World Building
Built handcrafted levels with layered design, encouraging exploration, coordination, and precise timing
Placed hidden items, collectible coins, and alternate paths to reward attentive players
Focused on delivering engaging level flow and platforming challenges using third-party assets
combined into a cohesive, polished game world


Ranking & Leader-board System
Developed a performance-based ranking system that evaluates players on:
(Completion Time, Deaths, Coins Collected, Hidden item discover)
Designed ranking feedback to motivate replay-ability and mastery
Focused on delivering clear, responsive UI that supports fast-paced couch multiplayer action.
