Project Prospect is a 2D top-down prototype I built entirely from scratch in Unity, focusing on advanced collision systems, AI, combat, and exploration mechanics. This project holds a special place for me — it’s been a passion project for years, now evolving into a larger, re-imagined game under a new working title.



Core Systems & Architecture
Built a fully custom collision system supporting circles, polygons, and square shapes,
handling both hard wall collisions and event triggers — independent from Unity’s built-in colliders
Developed enemy AI systems, including movement, attacks, and reactive behaviors
Implemented combat mechanics, player abilities, and floating enemy health displays for clear feedback
Designed destructible environments, hidden rooms, and puzzle elements to reward exploration and curiosity

Level Design & Boss Encounters
Created engaging dungeon-like levels using the Unity tile system, blending puzzle-solving with combat and hidden secrets
Designed and scripted a mini-boss fight as the climactic challenge of the prototype,
integrating all key mechanics (combat, movement, AI, destructibility)


Personal Significance & Vision
Project Prospect has been a dream project for years, and its current redevelopment into CODENAME
reflects my long-term vision and commitment to bringing it to life
This prototype taught me invaluable lessons in custom system design, gameplay feel, and engineering complex interactions
— laying the foundation for future, larger-scale development
I’m excited and motivated to continue evolving this game over time, transforming early ideas into something truly special
